For over 30 years White Hoban Properties and Riccarton Student Flats have been providing Canterbury and Lincoln University Students (along with those from the ARA Institute) with modern, quality, warm and safe purpose built student accommodation.
We purchased our first student flat at Church Corner, Upper Riccarton in 1992, only two years out of University ourselves so would like to think we knew what we were looking for in a good student flat. After years of buying and renting out older houses we realized that building new and to the specific needs of the modern student was the only way to get the best quality flats to let.
This has enabled us to provide a quality living environment for our tenants, one where they are safe and warm, able to concentrate on their studies and achieve their education goals. All this while living with friends in a fun flat, their first real home away from home.
The majority of student housing in managed by property managers and they work for the owners of the houses, they are the ones who pay their fees. We own and manage all our own properties so we only have one client, you the student and our priority is to ensure you have a good flatting experience, importantly positive word of mouth is our best marketing tool.
